The Hadzabe Tribe is a Tanzanian indigenous ethnic group who are mostly based in Southwest of Karatu District of Arusha Region in Northern Central of Tanzania.
They live around the Shores of Lake Eyasi-Karatu District and Yaeda valley in Mbulu District-Manyara Region,in the Central Rift Valley and in the neighboring Serengeti Plateau.
They are mainly Hunters-gatherers tribe in Tanzania in which they hunt by using the bow and arrows.It is a smallest tribe in Tanzania in which is not known exactly but it said there are about 1300 to 1500 people all together in Tanzania in 2022,
The Hadza people are mostly found in a small group of not more than 60 people or less than 10 people in one group, and in each group there is leader who helps to organize all the activities in the group,
The Hadza people speak one of the fascinating language which it said is one of an old spoken language-Click Language,Genetically the Hadza are not closely related to any other people, The Hadza main activities is hunting and gathering. The hadzabe people make fire with sticks and you will get to learn it by practicing it and also they will teach you how to shoot bow and arrow.There will be a target practice with them and they are deadly precise with their bows and arrows.
The Hadzabe tribe eat almost everything which it comes on their way, they are saying the most delicious meat to them is baboon,
The Datooga Tribe,This is another tribe which is also found in Tanzania mainly in Lake Eyasi,The Datooga tribe are semi-nomadic pastoralist tribe of Tanzania who are also in Manyara region,
Datooga tribe are also a Nilotic group of people like the Maasai Tribe,
The Datooga tribe are believed to be the Highland Southern Nilotes who origanated from Southern Sudan or From the Western Ethiopian Highlands over 3000 years ago,
They Migrated to Kenya and Tanzania and they split into two groups and one group Settled in Kenya who are Kalenjin people, in which are the people also belong to this group.
The second group which migrated to Tanzania were the ancentors of the Datooga Tribe settled today,
Hence,The Kalenjin People of Kenya and Datooga people of Tanzania have some similarities as they are both Southern Nilotes.
The markings on faces of the Datooga tribe which are around the eyes are among the Unique identifications of the Datooga tribe.
They also have earlobes,which are stretched and they also have markings which can be circular in shape.These marks are deep in the skin and they are a form of identifying someone from a Family.
The Datooga tribe in a way which is similar to their neighboring tribe such as the Maasai Tribe,The way of dressing of the Datooga people is inform of colors which are similar to the land in which they live,
The women among the Datooga wear jewelries and also traditional hides and the Married women wear a garment which has thin leather strips,Jewelries are made from coppers, beads,or iron which is used to make necklaces,braceletes and ear rings among the others
Visiting the Village of the Datooga Tribe is a unique experience during the safari around Tanzania,which involves interacting with the locals and getting to know the way of life and culture of the Datooga people
