Serengeti National, is a second Largest National Park in Tanzania after Ruaha. Has over 5700 Sq miles(14763 square kilometers). The Serengeti National Park is located entirely in Eastern Mara Region, and North-east portion of Simiyu Region.
The park has also located some 320 kilometers to the Norther-west of Arusha lying in a high plateau between Ngorongoro highlands and the Kenya/Tanzania Border, and extending almost to Lake Victoria to the West.The Serengeti or Siringeti by the Maasai people means an "Endless Plain ", you immediately experience this Vastness as you enter the South-eastern plains of the park from Ngorongoro. Serengeti had declared as a Protected area in 1921, and established as a National Park in 1951. Serengeti is an oldest ecosystem in Tanzania, undoubtedly one of the most famous Wildlife Sanctuary in the world,
